Training all done, here comes the fun!

So class is all done with my training. We've gone through three weeks and now I feel somewhat ready to get someone on a plane. It's a little nerve racking as any other job that I've had it's not a big deal if I made a mistake. Maybe you got the wrong wrench or the wrong porn. Oh well. But with this! Aye yae yae! I just have to rely on the things that they taught us.

Class was really fun though. I really like almost all of the people that I was learning with, and our teacher was really cool to boot. The guy who sat next to me was Domegno:

He always made me laugh and the two of us seemed to get into some innocent trouble each and every day. He's from the Ivory Coast, so it was also a huge bonus to have someone who I could speak French with. It made class just that much more fun.

I was also introduced to some interesting things on my way to and from the airport... I saw these UGLY shoes one morning and thought that you might actually like them just because of that stupid gold circle =)

I also saw this RAD rat tail on this guy

It reminded me of when I was in second grade and yes, I actually had one of these. My Nonna was so happy the day I let her cut it off. It was one of the last memories I have of her...

But not everything cool happened on the train. On our last day we saw this guy:

If you don't recognize him we're totally breaking up! It's DOG!!!!! (as is Dog the bounty hunter). I just thought it was cool.

Also, you saw my new glasses, but since I ordered them online I had to do a bunch of measurements, like how far apart my pupils are...

Pretty goofy huh? =)

Well, that's all for now. I hope you had a wonderful Sunday mi amore. I just want you to always remember:

Until my next fantasy Bonita...

New skills, old hairdos and a few smiles

So lately this is how I've been feeling day in and day out.

I can only imagine what it's like to come home to a child! At least when I crawl into bed the only thing that I have to worry about waking me up is my alarm at 530! I just submitted my work invoice to NYCSSC for the period of 5/01/12 to 5/15/12 and it was for 7 blogs!! That means that on average every other night I was working games. With the editing and uploading and writing it's been a crazy two weeks (along with my BA training).. But idle hands are the devil's playground eh!

I was walking in my neighborhood and saw this sign in a window...

Which one is Iris?!?!?!

I also saw this sign in the free jabon laundromat and it made me smile just reading about the "carefully" =)

Conversely, this lazy punk begging in Manhattan angered me. I've traveled and never ran out of money. WTF! Maybe if he was SOOO broke he should have considered selling HIS EFFING LAPTOP!!!!

But I was cheered up tonight when going through my pics for this blog and I found this picture...

Also, I got some cool training and actually flew a 747! I'm pretty sure I'm going to be the big boss soon.

just another day at the office I guess =) ...

That's it for tonight babe. I'm crashing hard. I was really hoping to talk with you tonight. I tried my best to stay awake, but I have to be up at 530 and am feeling my eyes tire. I didn't mean to lie and say I'd wait up for you, I guess I just didn't think you'd be at the gym for four hours.

I love you babe, and I really can't wait to see you. Only a few more weeks mi amore!...

My new job

So I started my NEW new job today! It's at this bar called Tavern on Third, which is a tavern on third avenue (clever name eh!). I met one of the managers a few weeks back with my buddy Sunil, but have been working with this other manager today (just a two hour shift) and my "interview/introduction" yesterday. The place seems really cool, and though it's not all that busy all the time, I get the sense that it'll be a great opportunity for me to make some extra cash.

Believe it or not I actually have my first shift tomorrow night! I'm a little nervous as it's been a few years since I've made drinks, but I have the feeling that it will all come back to me pretty quickly. Needless to say I'm pretty stoked to have another job, and one so soon to boot! The best part is that there's a real upside to working here. They're owned by the same company that owns McFadden's in Chicago (though Tavern is targeting a slightly older crowd) and so there's alot of know how and support behind it. And though it isn't busy now (it's only been open 2 months) I have this feeling that it will be.

So that was my last day or teo. I'm off to be as I'm working 8-11 tomorrow, so beauty sleep is at a premium.

Yo te quiero mi culo fantastico

Until I get to feel your touch again...

Couples like us

So I've been watching alot of 'The Office' lately, and I relized that when I worked at Sears with you we were totally like Angela and Dwight. If you aren't familiar with the show, they dated for years, Dwight always wanting to be affectionate at work, Angela always shunning him and keeping their romance seperate from work.

But the couple that I think we are exactly like is Jim and Michelle from American Pie. Not so much from the first movie, but for sure from the second and third movies (I have yet to see the fourth). The scenes that I keep thinking about are the one where Jim goes to band camp and Michelle sticks a flute in his butt, and when Jim is going to propose to Michelle and she goes under the table and gives him a blow job. Just makes me laugh and totally reminds me of you and i. (and also... when Jim shaves his pubes...)

Anyways... Random, but I just wanted to share with you. I love you babe, and I hope you have a beautiful mother's day mi amore

Until the next beso...

Boring post after boring post

So as I sat down to write tonight's blog entry I realized that the last couple of entries have been a little long winded and dry. Though the main point of this blog is to share things that are happening in my daily life with you I feel like it should also be entertaining as well. When it's just me rambling on and on without any pictures or humor I'm sure it's not all that amusing. But bonita, thank you for taking the time to read my words. It means more to me than I could ever possibly explain to you.

That being said, this will be another boring blog =) I'm sorry, but I just am completely whopped from my day, and realistically speaking there just isn't that much entertaining stuff going on in my life on a daily basis. The highlight of most of my days is simply talking to you...

I went to this store called "Telco" in my neighborhood...  Holy cow do they have killer prices on clothing! I got these three shirts and ties:

... for like 24 dollars! I think it's a really good deal, especially for new clothes! It was the first time in a long time that I've gone clothes shopping, and I have to say... I don't know how you don't shop more often! It reminded me how awesome it is to buy and get new things.

On Thursday I covered another volleyball thing, but this time it was on the Upper West Side, and I got lost as balls. I stopped at the office for the company I work for to fill out some paperwork beforehand, and when I left there (at 515) I figured I would just walk since it looked pretty close on the map. Wrong. It took me almost until 7 to finally get there! Of course, I got hella lost in the process. The cool thing about walking though was that I got to see this truck...

I really can't get enough of the graffiti in this city. It seems to be everywhere and it's SOOOO good!

The last thought before I finish this entry is that I am about a day and a half away from my first day at British Airways. I have to say that it's finally sinking in and I'm getting a touch nervous about it. Mostly I'm worried that I'll be over dressed or smell or something. Whatever it is I'm sure I'll be fine, but I just can't wait to get it started already!

That's all for now. Sorry it wasn't much to report, but my life is a fairly mundane one these days. I miss my picante seniorita...

It's bedtime for Bonzo. I love you like crazy mi skirls.  I'll see you in a few minutes...

Excited and nervous

So I know that this opportunity with British Airways is one that I'm perfectly suited for, and I am confident that I will thrive and do well there. But there's a part of me that's also really nervous about it too. I guess it's just that I know this is a really wonderful chance for me and I'm a little nervous that somehow I'm going to mess it up. I'm not concerned in a big or rational way, but rather in the way that's unfounded but exists because of the chance that I now stand at the threshold of.

This is the first job that I've ever really considered to be a real opportunity. Every other job that I've had has always been one that allowed me to just bide my time. When I waited tables it was because it was easy, I was good at it, and I made good money doing so. When I worked at the shop and at Sears they were both just jobs of necessity, and ones that afforded me the ability to live a lifestyle that was OK by me. But this opportunity with BA is just that: a great opportunity. I see it as something that I can work hard towards and through diligence, patience and time parlay it into a career opportunity. Needless to say I'm pretty on edge about it all.

Today I got an email from the broad that I first spoke with informing me of what to bring with me to orientation and letting me know the details of it. I need a ten year work history (with no gaps) and a five year residence history, along with the usual IDs. Pretty crazy stuff, but I imagine that post 9/11 and with a big company such as BA that it's rather standard. It was just a little strange taking a walk down memory lane for all those years!

The rest of my day has been great! I went to the library and got my glasses back! Someone turned them in. I would imagine that what happened was that whomever swiped them in the first place, upon noticing both that they are of no value and have a quite heavy prescription, just turned them in rather than gainking them. I think this as I SCOURED the only place I was in the library and to no avail. But all's well that ends well eh!

I also get to pick up my first check from this blogging stuff I've been doing. $200 here I come. With the shifts that I have picked up over the next two weeks I'll make almost my whole rent, and it's only the 2nd!!

Well, that's all for tonight. I'm going to try and do a little bit of work before I go to sleep. I hope that you had a wonderful day as I had today mi amore, and though it is still more than a month away I am so stoked to see you.

One last thing... If you get the chance you should listen to the song above if you already haven't. I think it's absolutely killer and really helps define the place where I'm at in my life.

Until my next dream bonita...
